My Dishes Are Done

My friend Martha came over today to keep me company and help me out a bit. She made me an enormous salad and she did my dishes. She also played with my kiddos and I was able to have several long conversations with another adult.

On the down side, I called my midwives to ask if I could move up my castor oil treatment to today instead of tomorrow and they said no :( I thought I would be ok with it (one day more won’t kill me) but I was wrong and I cried. They think that it is too aggressive for not even being at my due date yet. And since they aren’t even sure of my due date (period and ultrasound don’t agree) they just want to be safe. Fortunately things seem to be progressing a bit anyway. I don’t usually have tons of contractions until late afternoon but I have been burdened by them this morning. They did say it was ok to try the clary sage foot rub. Maybe that will be enough to do the trick. He has moved down even more (if that was at all possible) and now I’m having tingly shooting pains down both of my thighs whenever he moves. I’m always afraid I’m going to collapse.

I really just need to lay down so that I can get some of the pressure off of my legs.

Days drag on when waiting for a baby to arrive. Hang in there! I’m glad Martha was there today to help you out and give you some company. Clean dishes always make me feel like things are somewhat under control :-)

Have him call me and I’ll give him a good talking to. His auntie megan won’t put up with such disobedience!!

They probably just want to have another visit so they can charge you, like you said. But hopefully he’ll come soon and you would have to do it! I’m so excited for you!
