Kids are so much fun

Today we had our branch Primary Program. It was so cute to watch the kids sing songs and read scriptures. Emma starting freaking out right away and our Primary President pointed to me and beckoned me to come forth. So I sat with Emma and helped her say her parts. She didn’t sing at all, but that’s no surprise. She will only sing “Mister Wind is a Mischief” and “Marching Along” both by Janeen Brady. Although yesterday she did start to sing “I am a child of God” to Spencer, but ended up saying “I am a child of butterflies”.

Lucy on the other hand, was great. She said her parts loud and clear, she sang all of the songs and was cheerful and sweet. After church she drew this picture of the program. That is her on the left, wearing her flower dress, with a pretty braid and singing reverently. Next to her is one of her friends. She also has pretty braids but she is shouting and not being reverent during the songs (sorry Joey). Next to her is Nathan. Lucy says she is going to marry Nathan. Is the son of our new Branch President. If you look hard enough, you can see on the far right, next to the microphone, Emma drew herself into the picture. She also drew Lucy’s arms since she seemed to think it was necessary.

I have a tape of Janeen Brady songs called “I’m a Mormon” that Ben lovingly (but begrudgingly) put on CD for my siblings. Would you like me to send you a copy?
